Here are some extra resources that we recommend:

Kettlebells

I've had the opportunity to look at several different brands of kettlebells, and have used several brands.  There are a lot of things to consider and unfortunately more ways to mess them up than you would expect.  I have seen kettlebells (Go Fit) in Dick's Sporting Goods that someone ought to be ashamed of.  The handles were more in an "oval" cross-section shape than a circular shape.  Talk about eating up your hands in snatches or cleans!  I have had mixed success with Ader, but overall they are OK. I have still another brand that looks like it went through a bombing raid--rough handle, rough body, cracks on the handle near the base.  My father uses another brand with a smooth epoxy finish.  I guess some people would like that, but to me it would pinch my hand when rotating during snatches.

Bottom line, I haven't had any problems with Dragondoor.  They are definitely expensive.  I'd suggest going that route, though. They recently changed manufacturers and were able to knock prices down considerably. To order Dragondoor authentic Russian kettlebells, or to find out more, go here.

Books/DVD's

For Men, I recommend Enter the Kettlebell by Pavel.  Ladies can use From Russia with Tough Love, but you can do fine with Enter the Kettlebell as well.  Both are available in both DVD and book form.  My experience was that the book has information that the DVD does not, and vice versa.  I still refer to the book from time to time.  If you need a kettlebell as well, they have a package of the DVD/book/appropriate kettlebell.

While kettlebells can accomplish a lot, one thing that I like is to add barbell deadlifts on one or two "variety" days.  It's hard to beat the deadlift as a barbell/dumbell exercise!  Pavel's book Power to the People totally revamped how I approached the deadlift.  Of course, he also covers the side press, but since I press with the kettlebells, I generally skip this one.  Highly recommended.

I recently picked up Pavel's book The Naked Warrior.  In my opinion, it is the best book of his that I have read.  It is about developing total body strength using the body weight pistols and one arm pushups.  What makes it so good is his coverage of tension techniques and breathing that are applicable in virtually any strength program, kettlebells or not.

Obviously, subscribe to mine!

However, Dragondoor has one that they promote on their site.  You can't hardly enter their site without being asked to subscribe to it (free via email).  Do it!

One of my favorite RKC instructors is Jordan Vezina. While preparing for RKC, I learned from his videos online and reading his blog.

Other Resources (helpful, but not kettlebell specific)

Mike Geary's Truth About Abs.  While this e-book is not kettlebell specific, it is the best I have seen for losing weight and getting the coveted "six pack".  In fact, I used it and Mike uses me today as one of his testimonials.  (Can you find my pictures?) In his book, Mike explains the how and why on heavy strength training as the key to losing weight (NOT useless cardio) as well as the food choices you MUST make.  Mike mentioned these things called "kettlebells", and that fed my curiosity.  So I have Mike to thank for several important steps here.

Paleo Diet for Athletes.  This inexpensive book deals with the "what to eat" and the "when to eat" if you want to get the best performance out of your workouts and competitions.  Authors Loren Cordain, PhD, and Joe Friel, MS.

If you are interested in steel bending, you shouldn't do it on your own.  I suggest using Jedd Johnson's ebook, The Diesel Guide to Bending Nails.
